"This varied Jon & Vangelis rarity takes a wealth of rare and unreleasedmaterial dating from 1986 and 1989. The album starts off with anextended version of "Wisdom Chain" with‚ what sounds like‚ a longVangelis improvisation as an introduction. Most of the music on thedisc is melodic and romantic‚ in true Jon & Vangelis style: "Garden ofthe Senses‚" "Anyone Can Light a Candle‚" "Let's Pretend" and "Shinefor Me." This last theme‚ strangely‚ was recycled by Vangelis in the "Francesco Suite" for the score of the movie by the same name‚ bysimply removing Jon Anderson's vocals! Some tracks are more pop-rockcomplete with electric guitar solos. All in all‚ a terrific Jon &Vangelis release. This album‚ however‚ won't be for all of thoseVangelis fans who don't particularly care for Jon Anderson. However‚it's worth mentioning in this regard‚ that tracks "Little Guitar" and"Open Up" are all Vangelis instrumentals‚ and good ones at that."
