"This double cdr mainly consists of rare and alternative tracks spanningmost of Vangelis' career. There are also B sides here and there mixedin with the rest of the tracks. Therefore‚ this CD really brings usnothing new or earth-shattering. It basically has the same purpose asthe "Open Dream" double CD releases‚ but like these‚ it suffers fromthe same identity crisis as the "Open Dream" series (especially vol II‚which is ghastly). There is way too much information on this releaseand entirely too many unwarranted official material: (Pulstar‚ Alfa‚Conquest of Paradise‚ Voices‚ etc) What is the bootlegger thinking? These are the questions that he should ask himself before making arelease like this: What's the theme? Has it been done before? Whatmakes my release unique? More and more‚ I find that most Vangelisrarities are suffering from repetitiveness and mediocrity. This is aclassic example of how some releases have too much random information. This album would have improved by being a single cd release with onlywith B-sides. "High in the Sky" is yet another junk Vangeliscompilation."

"This album tries to do for Vangelis what "Past Masters 1 & 2" did for TheBeatles: A compilation of official tracks wich don't appear in anyofficial album‚ or those with differences between their album and sigleversions. Though it's a good starting point‚ this album doesn't suceedcompletely‚ due to the inclusion of some pieces like "Sauvage et beau"‚"Conquest of Paradise" and "Aquatic Dance"‚ with no differences from thealbum versions. The inclusion of edited versions of things like "Alpha"or "Pulstar"‚ tough excusable‚ gives the album the impression of beingfull of "fill-in" material. The rest of it‚ however‚ is true to the mainidea‚ and so you get tracks extracted from vinyl and CD-singles‚ plus acouple of outtakes from "See You Later". Some of these pieces‚ like "SlowPiece"‚ "Sad Face" or "In London" are very beautiful for my taste‚ andthe rest for the stuff is‚ at least‚ very interesting‚ except for theAplha-Beta tracks and "Domestic Logic 1"‚ wich is pure rubbish (How canVangelis publish a thing like this while lots of wonderful scores wait tosee the light is beyond me).

If you are a beginner in the world of Vangelis rareties this is a verygood place to start. If you're a experienced collector you will hardlyfind anything really interesting here‚ but that goes without saying."
