"The Plague" like so many other Vangelis scores‚ was not releasedofficially‚ so this release cannot rely on it?s official counterpart to"fill in the cracks" as is the case with so many other OWM releases‚namely Antarctica‚ 1492 and Chariots of Fire. The mood is somberhere‚ with moments of dark melancholy accentuated by a boy?s frequentchorale singing. There are many moments of OWM looping and chorusriddled tracks throughout‚ but all in all‚ the production of this cd isa noble attempt to extract viable music from the movie soundtrack. Aside from the beautiful main choral theme from the movie‚ the mosthaunting and moving track on the disc is number 12‚ titled "TheBreath."
