"Like with most of the OWM releases‚ 1492 uses all the music from the official (East-West) release adding certain omitted themes as they areheard in the film‚ edited around the dialog. The disc also containstwo unreleased tracks that appear on the Themes 2 bootleg. There isquite a bit of repetition of certain tracks that are somewhat alteredto make them appear different. Looping is also a common occurrencethroughout. However‚ there are a few very attractive features to thisrelease. Namely‚ the sound of the music taken directly from the filmis terrific‚ and the producers blend the music very effectively. Mostnotable on the album are such unreleased tracks as the choir-driven"Departure"‚ the "Bounty-sounding "Everlasting Ocean‚" and the delicateand evocative "Return." Despite the obvious defects‚ 1492 OWM doeshave some redeeming aspects to it."

"With this release happens something very similar to "Chariots of Fire". The main structure of this one is the official "Conquest of Paradise"album disordered and with some of the tracks repeated twice or altered to make them look different. It also includes wrongly the tracks "Landscape"and "Line Open" that are not part of the score. So the only interest lies on the tracks extracted from the movie and not included on the official version.They are many‚ but as always‚ so short that looping is a common thing. And when you loop you're nothing but adultering Vangelis music‚ so it's somethingI don't like so much. I would‚ however‚ highlight "Queen Isobel"‚ wich is a haunting chorus piece. The rest is‚ well‚ pure OWM."

Lovely, lovely video!What a good use of clciekr training. I really like how still the horse is for the inhaler, I'm sure that took a bit of work and some good shaping skills. I love that we can use clciekr training as a stress-free way to get our horses to enjoy vet procedures. I'm jealous about the Phillipe Karl course you are auditing! I just now found your blog, but I'm adding it to my google reader and I hope you'll write more in the future about the course. I'd also be really interested to hear how you integrate clciekr training with the things you learn in the course. cheers,Mary
